Since joining ICON CDC, I have led the coordination and public promotion of numerous grand openings for local small businesses, turning what were once undocumented events into polished, well-executed celebrations with lasting impact. My role involves overseeing every aspect of the process, including organizing logistics, setting up equipment, managing timelines, and coordinating with staff, business owners, and elected officials.

On the media side, I plan and capture high-quality content in real time, ensuring that each event is well represented across our digital channels. I strategically publish collaboration posts between ICON CDC and the featured business to maximize reach and visibility for both. When elected officials attend, I tag them in our coverage to further amplify engagement and demonstrate community and governmental support.

These efforts are always executed in a timely and organized manner, which is essential given the high level of public interest and participation we see at these events. Our social media data shows that grand opening content consistently generates the highest engagement rates and leads to the most significant spikes in follower growth. By introducing a consistent and professional approach to documenting these milestones, I’ve helped position ICON CDC as an active and visible supporter of small business success in the community.
